Let your child socialize with other children, paint and do a craft. Cookies and juice provided. Donation of $1.00 per child for the refreshment. (No session 2/23, 3/15, 3/29, 4/5, 4/12 ) Ages 7-12 AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM Mon. – Fri. 3:30-5:30 PM Sat. 9-11:30AM This is a time of recreation and fun. Experience playing basketball or games in the gym, playing pool, skeeball, or Ping-Pong in the game room, or arts and crafts. This is not daycare. Free. Ages 13-19 EVENING HOURS Mon.-Thurs. 5:30-9 PM and Sat. 11:30-2PM The gym is open for basketball and the game room open for friendly games of Ping-Pong, foosball and pool. Free. WEIGHT ROOM -Ages 16 and up –Mon.-Fri. 4-8PM and Sat. 9-2PM Two rooms of weight equipment for those wishing to tone or build muscles. We also have 2 treadmills for the public to use. FREE. (Under 18 needs parental permission). FAMILY GYM NIGHT -Friday nights – 5:30-7PM. This is a great opportunity for parents to interact with their children in the gym. Children have to be a least 5 years of age and must be supervised by a parent. Sports equipment available. Some Fridays family gym night may be preempted because of upcoming events or bingo. No session 1/20, 2/3, 2/17,3/2, 3/9, and 4/27. |

BINGO FOR ADULTS | DESSERTS AND BINGO FOR ADULTS JANUARY 20 – FRIDAY 6:30-DESSERTS AND BINGO FOR ADULTS Come and play BINGO. For adults only (16 years old and older). For an admission of $10 you will have a great time with your friends. Everyone will play on two boards and at intermission we will have desserts featuring 4 different ones. Yes, we will play for more than one winner per game. Non-cash prizes will be awarded for the games as well as door prizes. A limited number of tickets will be sold. The $10 admission will cover the cost of the BINGO, food and door prizes. Tickets available at Village Hall and the Rec Dept.

NEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MOVIE NIGHT | NEW !!!!!!!!!!! FEBRUARY 3 AND FEBRUARY 17 – FRIDAY 6:30 PM – MOVIE NIGHT – We now have a 7’ by 13’ screen to show movies to kids and their family. Admission is free courtesy of the Lewiston Kiwanis Club and popcorn and drink at a nominal fee. February 3 will be THE SMURFS and February 17 will be KUNG FU PANDA – THE KABOOM OF DOOM. |
APRIL 29 SPRING FLING | APRIL 29 Sunday 1-4 PM ANNUAL SPRING FLING – Celebrate the beginning of Spring and ENJOY the Slapshots of Hockey, Basket Auction, , entertainment and AGAIN this year a 1 mile race for youths SPONSORED BY LEWISTON KIWANIS AND LEWISTON SERVICE GUILD will be held at 12:30PM. No charge, just bring a dessert to pass. We party in Marilyn Toohey Park (behind Red Brick). We will have Bounce-N-Around, music, and petting zoo. Chalkwalk theme this year for the children is “Sports”. We would like to invite you to be a volunteer at the Spring Fling. Call 754-1990 to volunteer. OIL PAINTING FOR YOUTHS | JANUARY 10-31- 4-WEEK SESSION –TUESDAYS. Time: 4-5:30PM OIL PAINTING CLASSES FOR YOUTHS AGES 8-14 The objectives of the course will be instruction and critique on the basics of oil painting. Class is for those youths 8 years and older. All supplies are included. Instructor will be Scott Pedley Call 754-1990. Fee: $25. |

VALENTINE CARD MAKING FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS | JANUARY 25 WED. 4-7 AND JANUARY 28 SAT. 10-12NOON - VALENTINE CARD MAKING FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS -The Class is open to children 7 years and older attending with no parent, children 4 years and older attending with a parent, or any adult interested without children. Come anytime during the time period to make some valentines. This is a wonderful class for children and adults to participate in making cards for family and friends. All material will be supplied. MAKING OF THE AFGHANS | FEBRUARY 4 SAT. 10AM MAKING OF THE AFGHANS - LOOKING FOR KNITTERS!!!!! The Village of Lewiston Recreation Dept. is doing a community service using knitted blocks of 12” by 12” of 4 ply acrylic yarn. On Saturday, Feb. 4 at 10 AM we will begin putting them together into quilts for teens at Community Missions. Please start knitting and then you can bring your blocks to the Red Brick School for the put together. We will provide lunch for participants. We are also looking for some crotchetier to do borders for the finished lap robes. Call 754-1990 to let us know if you have blocks or can join us that day. |
